Job Summary:
The Picker Packer is responsible for efficiently and accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. This role involves handling inventory, following safety protocols, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking:
Locate and select items from shelves or bins based on order slips or digital systems.
Packing:
Pack products securely using appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape) to prevent damage during transit.
Labeling and Documentation:
Label packages correctly with shipping details, invoices, or barcodes as required.
Quality Check:
Inspect items for damage or discrepancies before packing and report any issues.
Inventory Management:
Assist in stock counting, replenishment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Safety and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and safe work area by following warehouse safety guidelines.
Use of Tools and Equipment:
Operate handheld scanners, trolleys, or pallet jacks as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move heavy packages (as required)
Good organizational and time-management skills
Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory systems
Team player with a positive attitude
Prior experience in warehousing/logistics (preferred but not always required)
Work Environment:
Physically demanding: involves standing, walking, lifting
